PETTICOAT ASSASSINS

The Petticoat Assassins cycling team, located in Seattle WA, contacted me and asked me to design a cycling uniform, a logo, and an identity for them. The Petticoat Assassins are a modern iteration of a timeless and legendary ideal. Renaissance women, femme fatales, revolutionaries. The team's brand is "feminine and dangerous, with a Victorian twist."

THE CYCLING KIT

I wanted to make the kit unexpected and complex, just like the ladies themselves. They need their favorite weapons easily accessible, just in case they spot a target while cruising down the track. The flower pattern was inspired by traditional Victorian furniture. The garter on the left leg also brings a Victorian touch. The skulls represent the poor souls who tried to cross them in the past.

THE LOGO

Unfortunately, the logo was designed after the kits were printed, therefore we couldn't feature it on them. The logo was inspired by Victorian tin boxes and signage. The girls asked for something fun that would make a good sticker, and look good on things such as water bottles and hats. I created the formal logo for them as well as a bomb sticker that they could place all over their local street signs. (Just kidding, of course, that is very illegal)
